We are back with the summer itineraries for the year. We have two trips planned for the summer, one for 7 nights while the other for 10. With this, we uncover the deepest and wildest parts of Ladakh, leaving you with memories of a lifetime. Here is the detailed itinerary along with inclusions and exclusions for 7 nights.

Day 01: Arrival Leh
Early morning board flight to Leh. Upon arrival at the Leh Airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take lunch at own and relax. Since you are arriving at 11000 ft, we strongly recommend taking complete rest on the first day where you should not indulge yourself in any strenuous activity. Rest of the day is free to acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing of Sham valley till Alchi (70 Kms one way).
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Sham valley on Leh -Srinagar Highway. Day start with Kali Mata Temple, followed by Spituk Gompa – an 11th century structure , Next on the list of attractions is the majestic Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Nestled deep in the Himalayas, it was constructed by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to honor the visit of Guru Nanak Dev – the founder of the Sikh faith. Drive another few km to witness the magic of Magnetic Hill that defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road, it seems to slide up and further. Driving through a picturesque landscape, we reach the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River (Sangam). Later drive to visit 1000 year old Alchi monastery, the only Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground. Afternoon drive back to Leh by visiting the Hall of Fame (A Museum developed by the Indian Army) to commemorate the Indian Soldier on Kargil War. Later check in at Hotel. Dinner & overnight at Leh Hotel.
Day 03: Tour of Chamdey, Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Monastery.
After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45km west of Leh, Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya Buddha and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Later back to Hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Stok Palace & village and Shanti Stupa, Leh Market.
Morning after breakfast drive to Stok village to have your Lunch at Gyapthago House and Experience the local lunch at Stok house. After Lunch visit Stok Palace, the present Palace of king of Ladakh & Stok Museum, Later walk along the village and drive back to Leh. Evening drive to visit Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed Stupa on a hilltop in Changspa, It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura and part of the Peace Pagoda mission. Later visit Leh Palace. In the evening walk around local market. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Leh.
Day 05: Leh – Khardung La – Nubra Valley (140 Kms / Approx 05-06 HRS)
Today at morning drive to Nubra valley, driving over the highest motored pass in the world. The exciting journey through serpentine roads lead you to the Khardungla Pass at an awesome height of 5550 meters. We stop at the pass to admire and click some photographs of the fantastic view. The valley is situated on an old caravan route at the confluence of the Shayok and the Nubra rivers. On the way visit the charming valley, of Deskit – the tiny capital of Nubra. We will visit the Deskit Gompa, perched on a rocky spur above the village, with a commanding view of the entire valley. At Deskit Monastery you will visit 106-feet high, statue of Maitreya Buddha atop on the hill. The monastery has intriguing images of many deities. From Deskit we will drive to Hunder past an area of sand dunes and get acquainted with the famous Bactrian camels, small population of shaggy double-humped animals, which in the old days, were used as pack animals on the Central Asian Trade routes are now used as riding animals in the high deserts. We will ride the double hump camel at hunder on direct payment basis. In the evening we will drive back to the camp/hotel. Dinner and overnight in camp/hotel at Nubra.
Day 06: Nubra – Diskit Monastery and then to Pangong Lake via Shayok (165 Kms/ 05 – 06 hrs)
After breakfast at camp/hotel we drive to next destination Pangong Lake (situated at 14, 500 ft above sea level) via Shayok and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik (Pangong). It’s a short cut and it’s a beautiful route. The road follows the Shayok river, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village. It takes less than an hour to reach Shayok, and you will be delighted at the sight of the rather big village surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very picturesque. Afternoon we reach at Pangong Lake and enjoy your day at Pangong Lake. Dinner and overnight stay in camp at Leh.
Day 07: Pangong to Leh via Changla Pass – 5486 Mtrs. (160 Kms/05 – 06 Hrs)
Get up early morning to witness the sunrise view at the lake. Enjoy your breakfast and drive back to Leh via Changla Pass 5486 Mtrs. Arrive Leh and check in at the hotel. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 08: Departure Leh
After breakfast, Depart to Leh airport to board the flight back for onward journey.
