Ladakh is a dream destination. If you ever wonder what dreams are made up of, you must come to Ladakh and experience it. The place has something for everyone, and the more you discover it, the more profoundly you fall in love with the place.
Food and shopping are two of the things that travelers absolutely love exploring at any travel location. At Ladakh, you get to discover the story behind the food and their rich cultural experiences. Savor the lip smacking delicacies in the local kitchens of Ladakh and feel the euphoria get to your heart.
Similarly, when it come to adventure, Ladakh is a one-stop destination. Right from hiking to camping, trekking and more, there are no ends to the fantasies at Ladakh.
Let’s explore the journey to Ladakh from the eyes of Monuca, the founder of Triyana, who takes travelers on the journey of their lifetime to the spellbinding place.
Food and Shopping
Over the span of several trips, I’ve come to understand the local food of the region and the households that prepare them. I often ditch the fancy restaurants and take travelers to the local households that prepare food right in front of the eyes.
It is the warmth and the love of the people that make the food even more delicious. Right from momo to Tukpa, Skew, which is a dumpling soup, to butter tea and Tapi, there’s no end to all that you can fill yourself with, at Ladakh.
The food is healthy, and more than that it’s something you might not have tasted before in your life. More authentic than ever, it is a reminiscence of the rich Ladkahi culture. One of the most famous delicacies of the region is Chutagi, which is basically a kind of dumpling soup.
But apart from the regional savories, our travelers are not deprived of their usual foods, that their bodies are most accustomed to.
Adventure
For hikers and trekkers, Ladakh is no less than a paradise. The trek experience at Ladakh happens at an altitude of 5200 meters and the month of May is the best time to pursue it.
While people go on expeditions around the riverside, many choose to travel to the far off villages and undertake a night trek in Ladakh. But, one of the toughest treks of the planet is the Frozen river trek, again a part of Ladakh. The 10-day trek is the greatest challenge I came across in my life.
No doubt it is scary, but the spirit of the team members and the magic of the holy Ladakh in itself pushes a traveler to conquer it, like anything else. However, having a professional guide on this trek is extremely important, and I always take my travelers to these trips under the guidance of one.
The rustling air, temperatures in minus, and the snow-clad mountains are somethings you must go after, once in your life on this Chadar trek.
Sounds interesting, isn’t it? The land of the lamas, Ladakh is full of surprises, which is why you must visit it in your lifetime. With Triyana, you get to explore and embrace Ladakh like local. Get in touch with us and we’ll curate a personalized travel experience for you to Ladakh!
